Some people question, whether Information and Communiications Technology (ICT) - Health Information Technology (HIT) Deployment in the Healthcare the Industry will delivered, the promissed Errors Reduction, Increased Outcomes, and Reduction in Healthcare Costs.

They state as evvidence, that many HIT projects have failed, that HIT can worsen healthcare quality by increasing errors, decreasing efficiency, and maybe even increasing mortality, as stated in 2010 NAE "Why HIT doesn't Work."

The NAE Report provided some of the Barriers such as: 1) The Semantic Gap; 2) Social and Administrative Barriers, 3) Research Challenges, as well as Cultural Resistance to change.

I believe that the BENEFITS promissed by the Deployment, and Appropriate Use of ICT-HIT, will most likely be Realized in the near future, because of the following Reasons:

1) On--going Advances in Information and Communications Technology (ICT)- Health Information Technology (HIT);

2) The Global exponential Use of INTERNET (ICT-HIT);

3) Extensice Use of ICT-HIT in Training Healthcare Professionals, including doctors;

4) More advances in ICT-HIT means Lower Costs in the future;

5) The Global necessity of maintaining a SUSTAINABLE HEALTHCAREE EXPENDITURES, in order to Sustain and Maintain a Global Economic progress, and

6) Efforts by Organizations such as, ISO, and Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) - Connectathons (www.ihe.net).
